We are a member of the gas safety register - our Registration Number is 88604

Registration Number: 88604

The CORGI scheme came to an end in March 2009, and has been replaced by the Gas SAFE Register.

Whilst a CORGI membership scheme still runs, it is simply a trade body like many of the guilds that are available.

All Gas installers must be registered under the new HSE gas safe scheme called the gas safe register

Gas Heating Services

If you are thinking of investing in a complete, brand new central heating system, or simply replacing an old boiler that has had its day, there are now even more good reasons than ever for choosing a new boiler.

  • High-efficiency condensing boilers are by far the most efficient and economical type of boiler you can buy - and all our boilers are rated among the most efficient of all.
  • You can save on your gas bills - yet enjoy total heating and hot water comfort.
  • Band A condensing boilers produce significantly fewer and cleaner greenhouse gas emissions.
  • All our boilers meet all the requirements of the latest Government Building Regulations. Part of the UK’s commitment and initiative to help combat global warming, these stipulate that from 1st April 2005 virtually every new boiler installed in homes in England and Wales should be of the high-efficiency condensing type.

Technology that’s so highly rated

Like fridges, washing machines and other domestic appliances, new boilers carry an energy efficiency rating. Every one of our boilers are officially rated in SEDBUK Band A - the highest efficiency band achievable. This means that all condensing boilers are more than 90% efficient, compared with only around 65% for older non-condensing boilers. By utilising heat that is normally lost and wasted through the flue, a condensing boiler can reduce your heating bills by up to 40%, compared to a conventional boiler.

A boiler to suit every home and lifestyle

As heating and hot water requirements can vary dramatically from one household to another, the F.G. Welch range gives you a choice of three different types of high-efficiency condensing boiler. Here are a few guidelines to deciding the best type of boiler for you, but we can advise you with the best option.

You may want to use your loft space for a room conversion or other purpose

You live in a flat or bungalow (i.e. have very little or no roof space)

Your home has more than 2 bathrooms

Your mains water pressure is low

You want to replace on old boiler to improve an existing conventional central heating system

The number of people in your household means that there is a regular demand for hot water on tap, but waiting for the tank to constantly refill and heat up is, or would be, inconvenient.

£300 heating rebate scheme

Since 2001 Warm Front has helped thousands of people receive insulation and heating improvements to make their homes warmer, healthier and more energy-efficient. On Monday 5th December 2005, the Chancellor made a pre-budget announcement regarding Government’s intention to offer a £300 grant to pensioners who would not otherwise be eligible for Warm Front.

If you are over 60, own or privately rent your home and do not qualify for a Warm Front Grant because you do not receive a relevant benefit, you may be eligible for a £300 rebate.

This rebate is available to help towards repairing or replacing an inoperable system or installing a new central heating system. The cost of work must be over £300 Inc VAT and is only available in English Local Authority Areas
